A very bad joke
So a bunch of French high school students were disrupting traffic by "picknicking on a busy boulevard," someone got fed up, and he drove his car into them, injuring several.
My first thought: "He must be German."

No, had the students heard that the Germans were coming they would have surrendered before they reached the intersection.
