No honor among...insurgents

My Pet Jawa cites a story in the Telegraph about Iraqi insurgents and al Qaeda foreigners fighting each other. As Henry Kissinger reportedly said about the Iran-Iraq war, "It's a shame they both can't lose."

How much longer can the "insurgency" last? They've sometimes, and understandably, lacked enough volunteers for suicide bombings. They've used at least one mentally retarded boy (and blew him up prematurely because he got frightened and started coming back). There are also reports of "suicide bombers" being bound with duct tape in case they have second thoughts.

Stein's Law was intended for a certain type of economics discussion, but it seems more and more applicable to the insurgents: "If something cannot go on forever, it will stop."
