New York City won't get it

N.Y. Eliminated in Vote for 2012 Olympics

Moscow dropped out first after receiving the fewest votes in the secret ballot of the International Olympic Committee. New York followed within a few minutes, and then Madrid.
Oh thank heaven. Most city residents whom I know don't want the Olympics coming. I work in Manhattan and also say, "Not here!"

The city is already too crowded and too littered, and half a million new visitors would make it a nightmare. Many businesses decided to close during the Republican National Convention because all the security made it all but impossible to function.
