Your daily dose of France-bashing
Cabbie New York Hack relates last night's story of "The Frenchman Who Wouldn't Tip." Nine bucks on an $8.70 fare!
Maybe the French have their own twist of the old phrase "when in Rome": "When in Rome, do as you would at home. When at home, do as you would at home, unless the Germans have invaded."

Well, you know how it is. That 30 cents is profit and we know full well that profit is nothing more than the capitalist's way of exploiting the labor of the masses. And God forbid the French move from their solid history of being the exploited and take a shot at being the exploiter. It would be the end of the world.
Not to mention, the cabbie could have been hauled before congress to explain any excessive profit and what a burden that would be.
I think the French guy did him a favor. Not that anybody would notice or anything....
